Michael Vick is robbed, oh, his life is going to the dogs

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Michael Vick is falling from grace

Michael VickThe Vick house in Virginia where the alleged dogs live and allegedly fight, while others allegedly gamble their hard earned cash was robbed.

“I don’t think it had anything to do with possible evidence,” in the dogfighting case, Poindexter told the newspaper. “I think it was some feuding over the spoils.”

According to the police report, someone entered the home through a side window and an attempt had been made to break in the front window. The alarm was not working. source

If only they had a dog protecting the house.

Meanwhile, away from the Bat cave, Clinton Portis… rescinded his rather rude anti dog comments.

“A couple of weeks ago, when I made those comments, I didn’t understand the seriousness behind it,” the Washington Redskins running back said Tuesday. “I didn’t know it would affect that many people, didn’t think what I said was that offensive. But after doing research and seeing how serious people take this, I shouldn’t have made the comments.” source

But now poor Clinton is a changed man as he notices, for the first time, the love that people have for their pets.

“I had no idea the love that people have for animals or didn’t consider it when I made those comments,” Portis said. “I’m not even a pets man. I’ve got a fish — that’s the easiest thing to keep up. I’ve never been into dogs, never dealt with dogs, don’t like playing with dogs. But at the same time, there’s a lot of people who are crazy over pets.” source

Later, he called your intrepid author to sell some bridge in London or something.

Additional comments were additionally revealing.

Portis said Tuesday he’ll be more judicious before offering an opinion that might come back to haunt him.

Reporters were surprised that Porter understood the word judicious.

Mike Holmgren chimed in on the Vick dog fighting issue.

“It’s so far removed from my world, dogfighting,” the Seahawks’ coach said. “I’ve got a wonderful dog. I can’t imagine doing anything like that. Clearly, I grew up in a different neck of the woods. It’s a little beyond my realm of understanding.” source

Seahawks defensive end Patrick Kerney supports his former teammate.

until…

Kerney saw an ESPN clip of a dogfight and said the two released animals were like two comets colliding. They kept going for each other’s throats. Come to find out, according to an article about Vick in this week’s Sports Illustrated, some dogfights can last four hours.

Four seconds was too much for Kerney, who shied away before turning the channel.

You really gotta wonder about Michael Vick.
