The 2008 edition of the Michelin Guides, a series international guidebooks to the best restaurants, has recently been released.
One of the big surprises: Germany now has more three-star restaurants (the highest Michelin rank) than Italy and Spain. Italian connoisseurs are shocked, to say the least. The new ranking of three-star restaurants comes in as follows:

France: 28
Germany: 9
Italy: 5

Don’t worry, Italy! We all know and love your cuisine!
