Microsoft in Europe adds another heatsink with a heatpipe to those Xbox 360s which are sent for repair. Will future 360 consoles have 2 cooling units? I reckon they will.

Update: Microsoft has declined to comment on the extra heatsink and whether future 360s will sport the 2nd cooling component.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz a Microsoft spokesperson explained: “Regularly updating console components is commonplace within the industry and is a standard aspect of the business for a variety of reasons including cost reduction, improved manufacturability and improved performance.”
