Microsoft Advertising on TiVo?

I just finished watching Monday night’s episode of CSI:Miami and writing a review on the CSI:Fanatic website. At the end of the episode I noticed a little advertisement for “Microsoft presents the Stu Osborn Show”.

I had no idea what it was, so push the link and followed it to a little clip starring Fred Willard, who I’d just seen in A Mighty Wind.

The Stu Osborn Show is a spoof and Fred Willard plays an author who talks about business acumen and having spies, or “cultivate informants” in your workforce. He’s a big supporter of complicated advanced technology, which leads them to outsource.

The show is “sponsored” by Microsoft. Pretty funny advertising, but I don’t think this method will work on live TV as a commercial. Very nice try though.

I personally thought the show was funny and entertaining. I’ve got to give creadit to Microsoft for trying something new and interesting. At least the unerstand the idea that if you want some of my time you better give me something back in return.
