Microsoft & Apple Renew Agreements

January 12, 2006 by Jason Bean

Microsoft and Apple have come to an agreement or deal for the next two years. The deal states that Apple will allow users to install Windows software on their new Intel based machines if they desire. I wouldn’t count on Windows challenging Apple’s OS (did you realize if you say that real quick it sounds like “apple-sauce”) in the mainstream anytime soon though. According to Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice-president of worldwide product marketing.

“That’s fine with us. We don’t mind,” Schiller said. “If there are people who love our hardware but are forced to put up with a Windows world, then that’s OK.”
