Microsoft’s latest Vista Updates fixes three things namely:
Compatibility, reliability and stability – this includes extension of battery life for mobile devices, stability, Windows PowerShell, wireless network services and usage of UPS.
Recovery & USB – this include fixes on Vista’s recovery from sleep and hibernation mode. USB fixes are also included which correctly detects USB connected devices even after recovering from hibernation and sleep. It also corrects problems during removal of connected USB devices.
Media Center – fixes extensibility problems with Windows Media Center and interaction problems between Media Center and XBox 360.
This was scheduled for release last November 13; though I haven’t checked my laptop if it has already been downloaded. I’ll give you feedback on this.

Frankly I’m fed up Bill Gates and his sloppy Corp! If retailers would stop buying his crap he’d start putting out a product that works in the first place! I have the stinking XP on the computer I have now and there’s a list as long as a giraffe snack with patches and updates. I think what it’s really all about is that makes his corporation able to sneak into your computer and tattletale to the damn government on everything you do!!!
vista is slow running and takes longer to boot up or shut down than does windows xp…is there a solution for this or is meant to work this way?
