Microsoft MoneyWise

I’ve been a user of Microsoft’s Money product since 2001 since it’s inception. Not sure why I never started with Quicken initially, but Microsoft has been my financial partner in this effort. Quicken hasn’t given me any compelling reasons to switch to them over the years of upgrades to both company’s products.
If you’re an existing Money user, you’re probably familiar with their MoneyWise e-mail newsletter. The latest issue highlights the functionality of their Budget Tracker. This allows you to quickly setup categories of spending, then display the tracking graphs on your Microsoft Money homepage to the product.
This has been a valuable tool for me in keeping tabs on categories of spending like: gas, groceries, dining out and entertainment.
Check it out, as I said before I’ve been using it for years and have been more than satisfied every year.

A long-time user of MS Money, I have to say it’s much better than Quicken. Quicken’s problem has been the UI and even the newer versions (say for Windows XP) seem to carry the legacy of their older, clunkier software.
I only wish MS Money had more online bank partnerships like Quicken does.
