Microsoft On the Lunch Buffet

Scoble has a post about a new Office 2.0 conference coming up that Microsoft is actually a sponsor of the organization in charge of the conference.

The post doesn’t share much information other than 26 other companies are participating and that all of them are obviously out to take a bite out of Microsoft’s marketshare in the office app domain.

These folks just announced that 26 companies are coming to this one. If there’s anything that’s going to disrupt Microsoft’s Office business it probably will be at this show.

What’s more interesting though are the comments from the post itself. I agree specifically with one gentleman that talks about why web-only-apps are a good idea, but just can’t be relied upon as a total reality yet.
