Microsoft Outlook Connector Sign-on Errors

outlook-connector-error

I’ve been extremely happy with my experiences using the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector. If you’re not familiar, it allows you to completely integrate your Hotmail account into Microsoft Outlook. From my experience, it’s also reduced the amount of spam I actually receive into my Inbox from that account to almost zero compared to what it was.

My problem lately though has been that it doesn’t automatically sign-in like it used to when I first installed. As you can see I’ve got everything input as needed and I have it set to “Remember my password”. It never just automatically signs-in though, I almost always have to click on the “Sign in” button a couple of times for it to connect and grab mail.

I did a quick search on the problem and didn’t come up with any hits for my specific issue. Anyone else out there seeing this? What do I need to do?

i get this too. just started using office for first time today. tried to add my 3 hotmail accounts, along with ms office outlook connector and downloaded xobni.

started out fine, but now i keep seeing that sign in box for all 3 accounts, but it won’t let me put in the password, and freezes and grrrr… so annoying!

no idea how to fix. google doesnt seem to come up with anything.

Me too, same-o same-o. I can handle it, but my wife uses the e-mail much more than I do and annoys ME about it. Just started; what gives?

I still haven’t figured out a solution to this issue, but it seems to be happening far less. I’m wondering if it’s just an issue with the server it’s trying to hit for verification?

I am having the same issue and have for months. I am running Outlook 2007 on Vista. Is anyone else having these Microsoft Outlook Connector Sign-on issues? The repeated entering of the password is very annoying.

    Thanks…

Ryan, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

I have two accounts on hotmail besides other POP3 acconts and two computers with Connector installed on both. The sign-in problem exists on both computers (one is running Outlook 2000 and the other one Outlook 2007).

Half an hour ago I installed updated version of connector 12.1, and so far I haven’t been bothered yet, but that’s just 30 min.
If you click on Server Status at the bottom of the Outlook window it says: Calendar Error and in the report gives this: Error in Calendar
    Network operation failed.
May be this is the problem? Some folders in Outlook and Hotmail failed to synchronize and it tries to connect over and over?!

I have 2 computers both running xp and office 2007. My laptop and work is fine but my home computer suffers from the above problem. I’ve tried repairing and reinstalling the latest version but still have the same annoying issue. I’d go back to express in a second if I didn’t need the contact and calendar to sync with my blackberry. Anyone got a fix for this?
