Microsoft Releases Zune 3.0 Software

I’ve now been without my iPod mini now for a few months. I’m really missing it since I got my new car stereo where I can plug it in and catch-up with my favorite podcasts and music albums.
The more I keep looking at the Zune and getting more and more irritated with iTunes, I believe my next portable music player is going to end up being from Microsoft.
Having just released the third major version of the Zune software just gives me more reasons to think I’ll give Zune a try.
- Perhaps the one feature that makes me feel good is that I’ll have FM radio access still available. There is the odd time that I actually enjoy listening to the radio to hear music I don’t currently own. With the new software, I can then tag a song I hear on the radio so I can purchase it later.
- Wireless access from my music player might be a nice feature, perhaps the most important ability would be the ability to synch wirelessly with my own network.
- Audio books now available on Zune
- Since my iPod mini only had 6GB of space and I quickly filled that up after I started subscribing to podcasts, the new availability of a 120GB Zune pretty much seals the deal for me.
Do you have a Zune? One of the many people that already own an iPod? What’s your favorite feature? What’s your biggest gripe among both devices? Let me know. Help me make the best decision.
