Microsoft Sponsors Championship Gaming Series

As I was coming home from work this evening I was listening to a radio interview for a game named Kevin Parrish. He was in a hotel room waiting to go to the first draft of the Championship Gaming Series at the Playboy Mansion.
Kevin was saying his top game is Project Gotham Racing 3 for Xbox 360. The Championship Gaming Series is focused purely on the Xbox 360, which kind of makes sense since one of their founding sponsors is Microsoft Xbox 360.
Each drafted player will receive a CGS contract for a base salary of $30,000 annually and also be eligible for performance bonuses which could bring total annual compensation to more than 100k.
All you kids out there, tell your parents there is a benefit of spending hours in front of the TV working on your gaming skills. You could get drafted and make anywhere from $30K-$100K. In the case of Kevin, he’s also spending the evening at the Playboy Mansion as an 18-year old. I don’t see many high school quarterbacks getting to do that after they graduate.

That sounds like fun Joel. It’s not something I’d be able to help you with sponsorship, but maybe some of our readers would be able to take advantage of some exposure that might be gained through your team.
