Microsoft takes Virtualization to Higher Grounds

March 15, 2008 by Milo Riano

Microsoft keeps on improving their virtualization technology by buying Kidaro, a desktop virtualization management software developer. Microsoft plans to integrate its technology into the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack for Software Assurance.

Microsoft is putting weight on improving their virtualization technology since this should push consumers to use Windows Vista and dump everything incompatible in a virtualized environment. This may not be pretty but it surely helps.

The price of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
