Microsoft Xbox 360 QWERTY Keypad Device is a keyboard that can be integrated with your 360 controller and use it for text and instant messaging (MSN). Slated for release in the 3rd quarter of this year, this device makes chatting with your pals in Xbox Live and Windows Live Messenger faster and easier. It can also…
- Improve the ergonomics of the original controller
- Gives you a more solid feel without hurting your hands in short gaming periods

For Windows Live Messaging, a simple, reasonable size (so that you can see the words and fonts) pop-up window is utilised. Games can be played as normal though. A pretty useful 360 gadget if you want to type as you play.

Hmmm, sounds like a feasible idead i suppose and certainly seems a curious and interesting idea.
Typing messages using the 360’s virtual daskboard keyboard via your keypad has always been painfully slow, whilst on the other hand using a USB keyboard works fine with the only draw back being swapping back and forth between keypad and keyboard constantly during games.
The only reservation i have relating to this periphial is that the keyboard layout seems to remind me of a Blackberry mobile which i found slightly strange to use.
Still, you might get used to it once you’ve had a while to get used to the layout. I gues i might give it a try when it’s released.
Looks good but will u be able to use a wired mouse while using it… and u wouldnt be able to play and type with it xD
*Keo77: Getting used is the key. Hehe.
*phil: Maybe ther’s some learnin curve but it should not be a big problem.
the key pad does not work with psu game is there going to be a fix anytime soon
can the qwerty keyboard be used while connected to a pc??
