Mike Brown Blogs On WEC.TV

ON June 7th WEC 41 will present Brown Vs. Faber 2 , the “rematch” between WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown and Urijah Faber , the man he took the belt from. Faber who’s only lost twice in his professional career defended the WEC Championship 5 times before losing it to Brown at WEC 36 in November.

Brown has defended the title once against Leonard Garcia and proved to the WEC that he didn’t just “Get lucky” against Faber. Of course if you’ve been following Mike Brown throughout his career in MMA then you probably already knew that he’s a fierce featherweight.

Brown started blogging today at WEC.tv and will be periodically submitting blog posts there as he prepares for his fight with Urijah Faber in less than two months. He talks about UFC 97 , his photo shoot in Montreal and his training at American Top Team in Florida. Here is a snippet of his blog post.

I’m back in Florida now and training hard in Coconut Creek. I’m with American Top Team training twice a day and getting some really good work in. My main partner is (former UFC lightweight) Yves Edwards and he pushes me really hard. I’m also working with JZ Cavalcante a lot because he’s well-rounded. He’s preparing for a big fight with K-1, so he and I are helping each other in the gym. Other than that, I’m excited to work with Alexis Vila, who won a Bronze medal in freestyle wrestling in the 1996 Summer Olympics. Between him, Yves, and JZ, I have a team of guys who can really help me prepare for Urijah. Urijah is a really quick guy and a good wrestler, so I’m fortunate to have partners who can help me get ready for that.
