Mike Huckabee’s New Gig
Mike Huckabee is the host of a new talk show on Fox News, and all things said, I think it’s a pretty good fit for the former presidential candidate.
The show, titled Huckabee, debuted this weekend. I’m not normally a big Fox News fan, but I made a point of watching it. The mix of guests was interesting: Huckabee did a segment with Elisabeth Hasselbeck (the conservative view point on ABC’s The View). He also did a panel with Alexis Glick, Dave Ramsey and Geraldine Ferraro on the bailout — and the finances of some of the folks in the audience. It was a nice departure from the normal “all politics, all the time” approach that most of Fox News’ political coverage takes.
Huckabee also has the only house band on Fox News — Mike Huckabee rounded up usical talent from the sound and lighting crews, the writing staff and even other on-air talent at Fox News and end his show with a full band.
