Miles Takes Electric Car Company of 2007
Who won Electric Car Company of 2007?
2007 Weblog Award Finalist, GoodCleanTech, has cited Miles Electric Vehicles as the 2007 Electric Car Company of the Year.
What did they do? According to theautochannel:
* improved the AC motor/controller tech in their low speed vehicles
* launching their low speed truck, the ZX40ST
* releasing a new, improved website at milesev.com, and
* setting up dealerships so they can actually sell their cars in a real-world setting vs. via online registration
Who is GoodCleanTech, and does a mention from them actually mean anything?
Here’s a blurb from their blog:
GoodCleanTech aims to provide you with news, tips, advice, and ideas about how to do more with less. With the help of the editors and analysts at PC Magazine, we’ll praise those companies that have committed to better ecotechnologies and hold to the fire the polluters and resource hogs. And we’ll keep you informed about the latest environmentally friendly developments in the worlds of computers, automobiles, fuel, power, and more.
And, as always, my personal opinion:
I really enjoy reading their blog, and think it’s a great stop for anyone who wants to stay up-to-date while still lessening their impact on the planet.
BUT – and this is said while using reliable cable service – their load times can be freaking atrocious. It might be all the videos they run on their auto page. Very interesting reads, too, folks. Hop on over and take a look.
