Minor League Baseball Franchise Reveals New Logo
Team’s Marketing Staff Arrested for Indecent Exposure
If you know somebody from Winston-Salem, make sure you call them today to congratulate them on their new minor league baseball franchise.
And then feel free to make as many dick jokes as you’d like about their team’s new logo.

“Mommy, why is that penis angry at me?”

The Winston-Salem website has this account of the excitement that was building to a climax as the team announced its new name, The Dash, and showed off its massive new logo:
Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines joined Dash owner Billy Prim and President Kevin Terry, along with new field manager and former major leaguer Joe McEwing, to unveil the logo to an excited crowd which counted down the final seconds to the reveal.
“This was an exciting process, but nothing compares to actually making the announcement and introducing our name,” said Terry. “We reviewed logos for all of the finalists, looked at any conflicts with other team names and evaluated the suggestions and reasoning from the community. At the end of the day, Dash is a name that is associated with the community – it brings Winston-Salem together – the logo is unique, compelling and provides a lot of opportunity for integration in our game entertainment and fan participation.”
Despite looking like they lifted the logo from an episode of SNL’s The Ambiguously Gay Duo, everyone appeared to be quite, um … excited about the new team and logo.
It’s hard (zing!) to believe the franchise didn’t just go with the Winston-Salem Bishops or the Winston-Salem Bald Avengers as the team name.
If the stadium naming rights aren’t bought by one of the leading condom manufacturers, somebody’s missed a major publicity coup.
In other exciting news, the team also has a new fan-friendly mascot and is holding a contest to name the mascot.
What do you guys think about “Bi-Curious Billy Bob?”
Hey, I’m just putting it out there.
