Mobile Games down the drain?
Mobile games veteran, Chris Wright, has a really sad prediction about the mobile gaming industry for his first article in his column, The Wright Stuff down at Pocketgamer.co.uk. He said that it isn’t making as much as it should since the games that are being developed are not as appealing enough. Only 5% of those who get to download and gets to try out these games actually buys them.
He also says that the industry must be honest with itself and that casual games are not the answer to the 5-year dump that it has been experiencing. Heck, I did remember a couple of analysts predicting a boom in the mobile gaming industry and according to Chris, it didn’t materialize at all.
I just wonder, though, if casual games are not the answer to mobile gaming, then what is?
