Mobile Search is the Next Frontier

google androidOne of the most promising, untapped market I believe is mobile search. I don’t have exact figures at hand but I strongly believe that there are a lot more people who have mobile phones compared to the number of people with PCs.

At times, I myself am nowhere near a computer but I wanted to get information about movie schedules, restaurants, nearest gasoline station and all these ‘local’ information. I guess for some major cities in the world, these information is already accessible via mobile but on a global basis, definitely not yet.

This probably explains why Google has been very keen on technologies such as its Android project (Google’s Operating system for Mobile Phones), plus the much talked about Google phone.
