Mommies Day Off

Moms work every day, many work both in and outside of the home. Today is mommies day off! Give her a break and say thank you! There is no paycheck for mommies other than seeing the family flourish and do well. My goal as a mother has been to see my children grow-up and be who they want to be. To be good citizens and to help others. Today is mommies day off. See what you can do today that will assist your mom. And if you can’t find something to do on mommies day off, just tell her you love her and remember mommies are AWESOME. Take a peek a poem that showed up in my email last week.

Here is a portion of the poem AWESOME Mom:

Before I was a Mom,
I didn’t know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn’t know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn’t know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn’t know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom
