Bears Trade Thomas Jones to Jets for second round pick – That’s a high price for Thomas Jones, but at least the Jets fans will have one less thing to boo about on draft day. Thomas Jones seems like one of those guys who is going to play a lot of places, because he’s not quite good enough to make a team hold on to him.
Seahawks sign Patrick Kerney for 6 years, reported 40 million – Kerney is a high quality defensive end, and for the here and now, this signing is part of the Seahawks plan to get back to the Super Bowl soon. I don’t expect Kerney to be around for the end of this contract, however.
Travis Henry signs with Denver Broncos – Nothing resurrects a running back’s career like signing with the Broncos, smart move for Travis Henry. As far as the Broncos are concerned, he’s alive, so he should be a good back for them.
Cowboys sign Brad Johnson - Brad Johnson won a Super Bowl, why don’t people remember this? He’s there to make Tony Romo so nervous that there will never be any successful extra points.
Kerry Collins resigns with Titans – This doesn’t matter at all.
Patriots trade for Wes Welker, White Wideout – As much as I love Wes Welker, White Wideout, I’m not sure this addresses the Patriots’ receiver issues at all. Don’t they already have like four of these types of wideouts?
Texans Sign Ahman Green – This would have been great news for them three years ago.
Dolphins Release Joey Harrington, Randy McMichael – One of these is a bad thing, the other is a good thing. Can you guess which is which?
