The four-disc edition of Monsters Inc. is now available on Blu-ray and I can see why a lot of people would want to grab a copy. This is one of the best Disney/Pixar movies – it was inventive and funny but the effects were downright stellar.
In the movie, we get to explore the world of the monsters who lurk in closets and under the beds of children, waiting to scare them. Giant, blue-furred James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (John Goodman) is the best scare-monster in Monstropolis, a city powered on the screams of little kids.
Sully’s life is pretty perfect until he and his friend, Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal), “discover what happens when the real world interacts with theirs in the form of a 2-year-old baby girl dubbed “Boo,” who accidentally sneaks into the monster world with Sulley one night.”
It’s funny, it’s touching and it’s family-friendly without being too boring for adults. Overall, this is just a fantastic film!
