More Buzz on the Buzz

Prospero found us a few blog nuggets to pass along, if you’re craving more dish on the “What the @*#$! was that?” crowd noise glitch during the fourth quarter of yesterday’s Colts-Pats game. (For CliffsNotes see our previous post).

This isn’t just blog foddah, it’s watercooler talk for technogeeks all across the fruited plains. This blog has, among other things, graphical depictions of the audio file—I kid you not!—and a video, not to mention the opinion of an audio engineer experiencing his 15-minutes-of-coolness (enjoy it while it lasts, pal). Elsewhere on the blogosphere, Eric Wilbur of the Boston Globe weighs in. (Wow, we must really be getting caught up in this fervor. Normally we detest ending a sentence with a preposition. But today it just felt right, you know?)

And then there’s this blog by Jason Cole, which has the tastiest, give-the-Colonel-a-run-for-his-money nugget of them all:

“[Pats owner Bob] Kraft was angry as he told [NFL VP of Security Milt] Ahlerich the league needed to look into the allegation. Ahlerich is the same person who confiscated a videotape made by the Patriots during a game against the New York Jets in Week 2 that led to the Spygate controversy.”

Move over, Spygate. There’s a new technolicious NFL scandal in town. Somebody must have lit a whole lotta candles to the Blog Deities this weekend.
