More learning in store

Everything I know about computers and technology is self-taught. I think in some respects that gives me a little advantage over some other people in that I don’t know the “right” way to do something, I just figure out the best way to do something for me. Now this isn’t to say that I don’t read about how to do things the “right” way, so I’m not just charging blindly into new territory.
To continue that process, in addition to my adventure with beta testing Office 12, I downloaded Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition. Up until this point, and I will continue to be, I’ve been a Macromedia Dreamweaver user for my web development. I think the first version I purchased was Dreamweaver 2.0.
I’m beginning to pursue some other projects that are requiring me to learn some .ASP coding and potential .NET as well. I’m sure this too will be an adventure and a challenge for me. Be prepared for posts on my experience in this application as well.

I mucked around with .NET a bit in school. While I’m not a huge MS fan, the Visual Studio is a nice environment and web services are pretty easy to create in .NET.
