More on dumb airlines

Apparently I’m not the only one who doesn’t understand the airlines. Check out this post from Flyawaycafe for more on fees and the overall stupidity of the airlines. It seems the airlines have never really figured out what to do since the dissolution of the CAB back in the 1970s – since then, those which haven’t failed outright (and there are a lot of them) spend much of their time flirting with bankruptcy or a merger with an airline which is just going into or coming out of bankruptcy. Not sure why they haven’t been able to figure things out in 30 years.
