More Proof that Area 51 Sucks

You know a game sucks when even the lead designer admits it.
Harvey Smith, lead designer for Blacksite: Area 51, admitted to Wired’s Paul Artz that “this project was fucked up” and that, “we deserved [the bad reviews]“.
Poor guy.
After reading Artz’s piece, I kind of felt sorry for Smith.
But, then again, who polishes a game in four days?!
Smith points out that there is actually a satirical undercurrent in the game and he’s confused as to why the reviews didn’t catch the anti-war sentiment.
Maybe the developers should have been more concerned with producing a quality game than making a political statement.
However, it is nice to see Smith taking some responsibility for the sucktitude.

it does suck. in the middle of shooting aliens, loading screens pop up and the game is so choppy that it messes with your eyes. 2/10 and thats being nice. oh yeah multiplayer is boring too.
unreal tournament 3 sucks too. you’ll be running and it skips about 3 seconds and puts you on the other side of a room. WORTHLESS
