More Silverlight Issues for Olympics

I believe I’ve now tried to watch videos on the NBCOlympics website more times than the number of medals that the United States has won so far in the games.
I thought I was getting closer this morning as I was back at the office and wanted to have some live video playing on the computer next to me. Everything seemed to install fine until I got the message above.
I’ve exceeded the number of attempts allowed to access live Olympic video? Hmmm, it’s surely only been attempts because I’ve yet to actually succeed at watching live video from the site.
I was hoping to give Microsoft some credit and praise their use of Silverlight for the streaming video, but I’ve yet to actually see any video on the site. That’s just unacceptable.

Jason, There are LOTS of videos powered by Silverlight on the MSN site. In fact, last night’s men’s 4X100 relay was on the site this morning when I woke up. Amazing race! You can see it at http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/player.html?assetid=0811_hd_swb_hl_l0194&channelcode=sportsw>1=39001
I understand there are “LOTS” of videos that are powered by Silverlight on the web. I’m confused as to why you mentioned MSN, but then provided a link to the NBC Olympics website. Regardless of how many are supposed to be there, if I can’t watch any of them because I keep being prompted to install Silverlight, which I’ve already done at least a dozen times, then it’s useless to me right? I just went to the MSN site and found the video you were referring. It linked me into the NBC Olympics website, when I tried to play it I was asked to install Silverlight AGAIN!
Would love to see if I can help your woes. Also, you can try emailing feedback@nbcolympics.com to see if they can provide your attempts error message clarification (that isn’t Silverlight errors at this point I don’t think). Feel free to email me offline and I’ll try to help you.
Wow, I really feel for you. But I haven’t had any issues on my side. I even got the Live feeds very well. And transitions are smooth for the most part. I can’t understand how it keeps failing on you.
Just e-mail feedback@nbcolympics.com and maybe they can help you.
I’m working with Tim now. I’m interested in figuring out what the problem is for sure.
Too slow to enjoy. It’s seem like 15 fps of less.
