More STALKER…ing

So. Another interview up at Firing Squad. They talk with Oleg V. Yavorsky. Which is much easier to copy and paste than it is to say outloud. I guess he’s the game’s PR guy. Though he’s fairly good at keeping away from the “OMG We’re so cool!” statements. So the read is nice and gives a good basic feel for the game. FS hits up most of the major points for STALKER, (Gameplay, Graphics, Multiplayer) and Oleg answers them pretty well. Only once or twice did I get the feeling that he strayed and used the chance to push PR propaganda. But that’s to be expected. It is his job afterall.

Quite a few screenshots included in the interview. Game has a feel something akin to Half Life 2 as opposed to say, Doom 3, visual wise. They’re looking to ship Q1 2007. Don’t think I’ve ever played a survival FPS before so it should be a interesting pick up. And I think Oleg would agree with me.
