More Than 1/4 Of Kentucky Adults Smoke

WebMD Lists Kentucky as the state with the most adult smokers. With an adult smoking percentage at 28.3%, Kentucky is at the top of the list with Utah at the bottom, only having a percentage of 11.7% of adult smokers. Utah has also been ranked as the most well-being state in the United States. photo_4619_20090216Not surprisingly, southern tobacco cash crop states such as West Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee were also in the top ten. Virginia, the home of Marlboro manufacturer Philip Morris, also the largest cigarette factory in the world, is ranked at #37 with an 18.6% of adult smokers. Virginia’s governor recently signed a bill to ban smoking in restaurants and bars this past week., that will take effect on December 1st of this year. Here is the top ten smoking states in the United States.
