Barbara, sounds like your Mother’s Day was fabulous. My kids are still a little too young to write me books, but they can talk my ear off! I also think when we pass on the gratefulness to the next generation, as you did with your mom, we are ensuring that we will get that back when our day comes.

What’s also great is what you can learn from your kids as well – my kid made me a complete mother’s day book that had her Momism, memories, pictures, etc., – I started crying when I saw it!

So I thought, gee, I bet my mom would love such a thing…and I wrote up a 3 page note about what she has meant to me these 40-odd years. It really made her day.
