Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 1 Complies with Vista

Mozilla Releases Firefox 3 Beta 1 which is compliant with Microsoft Windows Vista’s Parental Control settings.

I don’t use Firefox for browsing except when viewing Google Analytics and only testing blog sites I have themed. For some reason, I could not understand why Analytics would not load on my Windows XP Internet Explorer; though it works fine when using my Vista computer.

Anyways, I would definitely give Firefox 3 a go when it is released.

The following are the other features of FireFox 3:

1. Web Page Forgery Protection
2. Clearer SSL Error messages when invalid SSL certificates are found
3. Automatic plug-in checking that can disable insecure plug-in updates
4. Integration with anti-virus programs
5. Improved password management and add-on installation
6. Download manager which lets you resume downloads interrupted by a crash or loss of connectivity.
7. Fast, nimble, and featureful

Firefox 3 is said to be released after it resolves the remaining 700 issues, down from the initial 11,000 bugs found on it.

  1. That’s not 11,000 bugs found, but 11,000 bugs fixed. A “bug” could be anything from an actual software bug to a feature request. It’s what Mozilla uses to track any changes to code.
