<description>Overall my first experiences with MS Vista were VERY disappointing. For one thing MS released the product with hardly any backwards compatibility for drivers and for software (especially the help screens written for XP and past MS Windows OS&#039;s. Some programs like Roxio that come bundled with Dell and other OEM&#039;s did NOT even work (Dell did their own fix for it). Drivers, Drivers, Drivers - what can I say - there are VERY few out there that work properly (almost like MS did not even care or did not notify these developers about the release of Vista)??? Oh and un-installing and re-installing VISTA is NOT for the faint hearted, If you have to swap out MB&#039;s, then be prepared to by a whole new OS (unless the BIOS Rev and Chipset are EXACTALLY the same). Even some MS programs such as MS Office with Publisher did not work properly (Publisher had its issues, after I un-installed the Business Contact SQL Manager and then rolled back the registry did I get to run properly). It really makes me wonder how a company like MS can make a product, get you to test it for them, then they sell it back to you and DOES NOT WORK. 6 months after the release I still would NOT push or sell VISTA to anyone. Why would MS not make the help windows backwards compatible, not let driver manufactures know about the release date (so they could be ready) is beyond belief. Dell even called it ME 2 LOL
