MSG4 Bundle Not So Limited?
It looks like “limited edition” may not be as limited as Konami and Kojima Productions led MSG fans to believe. Their Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle, which included a 40Gb PS3 with a gunmetal grey finish, one Dualshock controller, and a special edition of MSG4 along with a behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray movie, sold like hotcakes in Japan (now sold out), and was lapped up by North Americans for $600 bucks a pop during pre-order.
Now Kojima is letting Korean gamers in on the action. Apparently when they said limited, they weren’t talking geographically. While the number of bundles given to each region were not announced, the publisher is still sticking to its “limited! limited! limited!” guns. Some extra stock must have magically appeared in the warehouse.
If you happened to miss the North American pre-order, check back today (May 27th), as Konami is supposed to be announcing more available stock (from uber-limited quantities available?). The game is set for release on June 12th, and your big grey baby will ship within 1-2 days of that date.
