My gripe is and has always been the lack of support for pure .pst files, I know, I know, I’ve tried emailchemy.app and o2m on windows but emailchemy didn’t work and o2m screwed up the email addresses while converting to .mbox files

Guys, thanks for the tip on how to do this.

@AdamC – when you do it a lot it becomes tedious. Add to that when you have limited arm mobility, it becomes harder. So I hope you understand. Plus it’s also a matter of preference and opinion. Some good came out of it though, now I know the easier way.

Click and hold on the “Save” button and choose “Save All”. You should get a sheet that comes down prompting you to pick a save location.

Alternately use the attachment disclosure triangle, and ctrl-click the attachment choosing “Save Attachment”.

Hold the save button down rather than simply clicking it. You are then offered the option to save all and select the location – or you can click the specific attachment and save to the location.

While more effort it’s still possible to save attachments to other locations.
1. Click the disclosure triangle next to attachments
2. Right click one of the attachments
3. Select Save Attachment…
4. Pick a destination

At step 2 you can highlight multiple attachments before right clicking the group and save them all to the same place.

Hold down the Save button button instead of clicking it. That will allow you to chose a save location.

Nice and intuitive. Sigh.
