My Experiments With PrtSc
Ever since I made the post about using dual monitors, one issue has been buzzing in my mind. What happens when you take a PrtSc of dual monitors? Is there a way to take only one of them?
The following screenshots show you what I found out.
1. PrtSc
Both the screens are side by side and they are placed as per their orientation in the Display settings. Here, the secondary monitor is to the left of the primary one and their bottom edges share an axis.
2. Alt+PrtSc
Just the secondary monitor!
3. Alt +PrtSc Again
Wait. That is just one part of the primary monitor.
Turns out, pressing Alt+PrtSc when a window is selected snaps only that window. How convenient.
There is no way to capture just one of the monitors directly to my knowledge. Image editing softwares, including MS Paint can achieve that purpose. Apparently GIMP, an open source software, can take screenshot of a single screen directly as well.
