My Husband Talks to Wario

If you’re my friend—and you are my friend, right? (who wouldn’t want to be?)—you’ll check out my husband’s interview with the voice of Wario and Mario, Charles Martinet.

You can listen to the podcast or you can read the transcription. Either way, Charles Martinet always has cool stuff to say. I mean, he’s Mario. You missed your chance to cuddle up to Captain Lou’s sweaty bod, so you may as well meet Martinet and run with it. Admittedly, this interview focuses a little more on Mario’s fat and foul counterpart, Waaario.

I do love the bit where Martinet talks about “Mario in Real Time,” which lets him see and talk to kids disguised as Mario on a computer screen. If I’d had the chance to talk to Super Mario in real time, I think I would have crapped my pants and left the Nintendo Store in glorious shame.

By the way, in case there was any doubt, Martinet is a super-sweet guy.
