Thanks for keeping me on your list. My blogroll is also sadly neglected. I think it populates itself from my old Bloglines account, which I don’t even use anymore. I need to rethink what I’m going to put up there. Thanks for the prompting.

I’m definitely going to look at Joe’s plugins for some projects I have upcoming. For now, I provide “link-love” in two ways:

1) Linking to individual posts.
2) Linking to comments.

For the second, I use a plugin that removes the NoFollow attribute from comment links, after the commenter has left a predetermined number of approved comments. You participate in my community, I link back – automatically.

Thanks for including my blog, Pro PR.

I too had trouble keeping my blogroll up to date. So, I asked the folks at 76design to develop WordPress plugins – FriendsRoll and TopLinks, that automatically generates a blogroll ranked in order of the frequency with which I link to other blogs.

If you have some time, you can find these installed on ProPR.ca and they can be downloaded at friendsroll.com.

I’d welcome any feedback you might want to offer on them.
