My Xbox 360 Has Arrived

My Xbox 360 arrived yesterday. I’m so swamped with stuff though that I haven’t even hooked it back up to the TV yet. I don’t think I’ll be getting to it this evening either, but at least I know it’s at home and waiting on me.
UPS left us a voice-mail message letting us know it was here and that they couldn’t leave it without a signature. They graciously let us know that it would be arriving at our house sometime between 9am – 7pm yesterday. Thanks for narrowing that down for me! I went online to try and divert the delivery to my office instead but found out I can’t change the delivery instructions until the first attempt has been made. Luckily, my wife did happen to be home when it arrived, so all is well.
Interesting enough, I also received a DVD that Jane Wells put together of the coverage of the segment on CNBC. The clips I put together though from my TiVo recordings were more comprehensive though.
All in all though only 15 days from shipped to received for the process. Good job Microsoft. Now, let’s just hope I don’t have the same issues again with the replacement. Of course if I do, you’ll be hearing about it.
Don’t forget. There’s also the replacement console tracker page if you’re interested.

Hurray! Just in time.
I received my refurbished unit today … and I think the bastards at Microsoft tuned down the graphics drivers on the card. I am pretty sure displacement maps and bump maps are way lower … and even on the 1080p setting … doesn’t look as sharp as it did on my last 360 before my red rings. Anyone else find this?
