MythBusters test Cell Phones on Planes

We’ve talked about cellphones on planes before. The other night I caught an episode of MythBusters where they tested mobile phones around a variety of avionics as well as in the cockpit of a nice little jet.

The show is currently being broadcast frequently on the Discovery Channel, so check your local listings for the “Cell Phones on Planes” episode.

Adam and Jamie try to turn a dinghy into a majic carpet by inflating it with helium. Also: determining if cell phones on airplanes interfere with navigation.

Now I can just imaging the comments this one might get…. So I’ll say it now… the show is for entertainment purposes! I can just hear all of the comments now that start with “but they didn’t test…..” Comments are welcome anyway. :)
