Imagine: 3600 hours of Olympic coverage, 2900 hours of it live! When are we going to be able to sleep?
NBC announced their Olympic broadcasting schedule yesterday and it’s exciting. NBC Universal’s seven networks (NBC, USA, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, Telemundo, and Universal HD) will combine to offer 3600 hours of coverage. That’s 1000 hours more than the combined coverage for every televised Summer Olympics in history. WOW!
In addition to the television broadcasts, NBCOlympics.com will features approximately 2200 hours of live streaming Olympic broadband video coverage, the first live online Olympic coverage in the US.
For those of you asking in comments when the Beijing Olympics begin, mark your calendars; it’s August 8, 2008. Rest up!

With the time difference between China and USA I had been wondering how I would be figuring out which event to watch and just learned of a cool new service that http://www.alerts.com will provide where I’ll get in the morning the results of the day’s event so I can now select which events to watch. If only I could have that paired with NBCs telecast that would be huge.
We just hope that everything will be great in this closing Ceremony and no more fake thins
