NBC Wanted Cut of iPod Hardware Sales

iTunes ditched NBC because the TV network wanted a ridiculous price increase. Turns out newbie NBC CEO Jeff Zucker wanted something even more ridiculous.
“Apple sold millions of dollars worth of hardware off the back of our content and made a lot of money,” Zucker reportedly told The New Yorker’s Ken Auletta during a benefit for former football powerhouse Syracuse University. “They did not want to share in what they were making off the hardware or allow us to adjust pricing.”
Yes, you read that right: Zucker wanted a cut of all iPod hardware sales. By that logic, he may as well ask for a cut of all PC hardware sales because of Hulu. This is just more proof that Zucker is an arrogant moron.
