NCAA Football 10 comes out tomorrow and I’ve got to say that it looks like EA Sports has outdone themselves if the screenshots are any indication. I also like that they feature different former players on the cover of the various versions (by console). It’s available on PS3 (featuring Utah quarterback Brian Johnson), PS2 (featuring Texas defensive end Brian Orakpo), PSP (featuring USC quarterback Mark Sanchez) and Xbox 360 (Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree).
As if the graphics weren’t amazing enough, EA has implemented a huge number of new features. In the new Season Showdown, you can access web-based games and trivia challenges in career mode as you try to make your way towards earning the Heisman Trophy.
When competing online, you will be able to practice against your opponent’s playbook (up to 10 plays!) in order to get more familiar with their style of play which increases your odds of winning! Anything that helps me win sounds good to me!
Create your own team with EA Sports TeamBuilder and share it online. You can base it on your favorite FCS, historical or high school teams – you’re in control!
The game will also feature an all-new play calling system which will streamline game controls and playbooks.
You will also be able to string together multiple moves (like jukes, spins and stiff arms) so that you can defend your team better than on any NCAA Football title before!
Some other new features include:
- Auto Pass
- Procedural Awareness
- Stadium Camera Flashes
- Field Goal Nets / Field Goal Socks
- Team Specific Bowl Game End Zones
- New Custom Conference feature in Dynasty Mode (Also available in Online Dynasty)
- Sideline Reporter Erin Andrews
- More Stadiums/Stadium Updates
- Road to glory mode, an improved version of campus legend with new sideline reporter Erin Andrews covering your career.
- Branch-Tackling System
- 1000 new game animations
- Improved Pursuit angles
- Marching Bands in the pre-game, including some authentic team-specific ones.
- Ability to Mix-n-Match uniforms
- Revamped Flexbone playbook
Here’s a great video I found. It gives a pretty good overview of what you can expect from the game.
