NCAA tourney Day 2 – early thoughts

March 21, 2008 by Rich Carlson

As I sit here and watch San Diego try to upset Connecticut in overtime, I figured it was time for some thoughts about the Day 2 action so far:

- It’s about time we had a buzzer beater in this tournament – thank you WKU!

- The next time somebody tries to sell you on Drake being a legitimate #5 seed, you should ignore them.

- If somebody is able to find the South Alabama team, will you please tell them that a team of USA imposters laid an egg against Butler. USA is a better team than that.

- If Tennessee isn’t going to play any better than they did today against American, you can kiss the Vols goodbye.

- If you haven’t seen Davidson guard Stephen Curry play, you need to turn in for the Wildcats next game. Like his father Dell, Stephen will hoist up shots from anywhere inside the building.

More thoughts later tonight…

    Woo-hoo, USD! Toreros, represent!

(Sorry, we don’t usually play in big games, let alone win them.)

  2. Rich Carlson says:

Fantastic win for USD. They weren’t at all intimidated by UConn.
