New Sean Paul Album “Imperial Blaze”

Sean Paul released his fourth studio album, Imperial Blaze, yesterday. If you’re a fan, you’ve been waiting for this album for a while since it was supposed to be released (as The Next Thing) back in 2007 but was
rescheduled for November 2008 and now, finally, it’s here.
His style of reggae is definitely danceable which is evident from his earlier hits “We Be Burnin’” and “Temperature” but he claims that he wants his music to be more about youth violence in Jamaica rather than partying. I don’t know if I’m missing it but from the preview I heard, it sounds like the same old Sean Paul…
The album itself is mammoth with 19 tracks which was supposedly cut down from 60! Wow.
You might have already heard some songs – he released the first single “So Fine” back in June 2009 and it peaked at #50 on the Billboard 200 and he also put a video for his song “Press It Up” on his official website in early July.
If you already like Sean Paul’s music, you will probably enjoy Imperial Blaze especially if you just need some background reggae music for a party but it’s nothing earth-shattering. It’s fun but, ultimately, predictable.
