Matthew McConaughey is returning to the role he knows best – the womanizer (Connor Mead) who just can’t seem to commit. His new movie, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, hits theaters tomorrow (although, I’m not sure it was a smart idea to open the same days as Wolverine…) and his casting is as predictable as the plot: “A bachelor is haunted by the ghosts of his past girlfriends at his younger brother’s wedding.”

As much as I hate to admit it, I sometimes end up enjoying some of his corny romance flicks even though I’m more of an action movie person. The cast is also encouraging. McConaughey stars alongside, Jennifer Garner, Lacey Chabert, Brekin Meyer and Michael Douglas.
Of course, you’ll watch the trailer and immediately think of A Christmas Carol where Ebenezer Scrooge. From the clip, it appears that Garner plays Jenny Perotti, “the girl that got away.” After realizing (through the help of a dead girlfriend) that she’s the right girl for him, Connor must try to find a way to change the future and win her back.
