Well, there’s good news and there’s bad news. The good news is that EA has teamed up with NetDragon to create a new! and improved! version of Ultima Online. Yay! Unfortunately – here’s the bad news – the game is heading only to China and … well, unless you’re in China, and maybe Hong Kong, Macau or India, you won’t get to enjoy this version of the game. Bleh. I suppose if you love the game that much you can always look into making a big move.

NetDragon will be working closely with Mythic Enterntainment to create this brand new version of the game, which should, at least, have UO fans in Asia feeling really really happy. NetDragon is maintaining exclusive operating rights in the countries mentioned above, and so it does not seem like it will be making its way over to North/South America or Europe. At least not in the near future.

Well, at least there’s always Stygian Abyss.
