New VoIP service linked to Quest

Following on the recent beta release of Google Talk, Microsoft has announced a joint VoIP (Voice Over internet Protocol) project with Quest. The companies said on Tuesday that they are teaming up on an internet-based telephone and communications service for small to mid-sized businesses.

Expected next year, the product will also feature email, internet access, plus other communications services.
