New WadjetEye Game: Emerald City Confidential

There’s a new game headed our way from small time developer (who has a ton of kick butt games), WadjetEye Games. The new game, Emerald City Confidential, is one of them traditional Point N’ Click type games that have become so familiar to my favorite genre, adventure. And so far, the game looks pretty schnazzy.

The game is about a gal named Petra, who is the only private detective in Emerald City. Problem is, Emerald City isn’t a town filled with a lot of crime, so when Petra is approached to find Dee’s missing fiance, she jumps at the job. The cool thing is that not only is this one of those gritty detective games, there appears to be a little bit of magic involved in the Emerald City Universe that Petra can use to solve her case. Magic? In a detective game? Different!

The game features over 40 hand drawn 2D backgrounds, 6,500 lines of spoken dialog and a story that will take place over 5 different chapters. The game will be published by PlayFirst. Not sure when it’ll be released yet, but I’ll let ya’ll know when I have more info.
