New Windows Live Installer Beta

After having just blogged about my experiences with the Windows Live Installer, there’s now a brand new Windows Live Installer beta that’s now available.
The overall functionality of the installer still works fairly similarly in that you select all the items you want to install, I didn’t find a way to just download a single program installer I wanted without grabbing this full-blown Swiss Army knife of Windows Live products.
I found out about this because Joe Cheng left a comment letting me know that the new installer may help me get through my installation issues.
I’m currently 95% through the installation, let’s hope it goes through as I dream of it working. No such luck though.
The bad news, as you can see from the image, the Writer Beta did not install successfully. The good news is that I did hopefully get the Outlook Connector re-installed which I realized today also got hosed in my recent computer fall-out.
