New Xbox 360 Motherboard “Jasper”

Sometime next year should see the release of a new motherboard for the Xbox 360, codenamed “Jasper”. The motherboard will feature a 65nm ATI graphics card, which will take care of those pesky overheating problems a bit. The card should also help ease the manufacturing costs.

What all this means really, is that there should be another price drop on the Xbox 360 sometime next year. Probably around the Holidays 2008. So if you’re in no hurry to have the console in your living room, and are more concerned about price than anything else, then patience might save you quite a few bucks.
